Little schools can do big things!
On Friday December 6th 2019 we held an elf day. Children and staff dressed in green and red to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.
On Monday 9th December Reverend Daborn from St. Giles' Church and Mrs Downes from Melville Methodist Chapel came into school to help us to learn about Christingles. We worked together in small teams to make enough Christingles to place around the school, representing Jesus as the light of the world and to show that his love is all around us. We found out that the orange represents the world, the red ribbon represents Jesus' blood, the four sticks are the gospel writers and the fruit and sweets are all the good things that grow on earth.
Community Carol Singing
On Thursday 12th December, members of the community joined us for an afternoon of carol singing. We all enjoyed singing our favourite carols and Christmas songs as well as sharing refreshments. We are all feeling very festive now.
